Maureen Hubbard Cribbs, Artist, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Artists for dedication, achievements, and leadership in Visual Arts.

Ms. Cribbs has been a painter and printmaker working in Park Forest since 1979, and was the artist-in-residence at the Park Forest Community Arts Council in 1983. She was an art teacher for 18 years with School District 163 in Park Forest before working briefly in School District 227. Ms. Cribbs studied with DePauw University and holds a MA from Governors State University. She attended coursework with the School of Art Institute in Chicago, and has since been exhibited across the country, with a current selection t the Union St. Gallery affiliated with the Arts Guild at Gretchen Charlton Gallery in Kankakee, IL, since 2014.

Ms. Cribbs has also spent seven years as a paint instructor with Village Artists in Flossmoor, IL. She is a recipient of an Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award, and has appeared in Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in American Education, Who’s Who in the Midwest, Who’s Who in the World, and Who’s Who of American Women. She is also a board member of the Tall Grass Art Association and a lay member of the Northern Illinois Annual Conference of The United Methodist Church, in addition to numerous artistic societies. Ms. Cribbs’ work has been supported by grants from Freedom Hall, the Illinois Arts Council, and the Park Forest Community Arts Council.
